I bought this Kalmar 150 forklift for $3,000 from this auction from City of Chicago.
It is a diesel 15,000 forklift powered by a 6 cylinder Komatsu diesel. It has side shift, of all things, dual front tires etc. Also a cab heater. It has solid pneumatic tires and it is meant to be run outdoors.
I expected this forklift to have problems that I would need to fix. If you look at the auction pictures closely, you will see that it was actually well maintained, but kept outside a lot. To my huge surprise, this forklift needs nothing fixed and runs great, in all speeds etc. The brakes are also working and it seems to be a great forklift overall. The diesel engine is huge for a forklift of this size and should last a long time also.
