I put up this flag on my crane for two reasons. One is that it is cool and patriotic. Second, is that it will tell me which way the wind is blowing. The flag is suspended on a steel rod, and I welded a weight on the bottom to keep the flag straight.
I installed a flag light on this one so that it can be illuminated at night. It sits on a 1/2" bolt, to which I welded a link on the bottom and one to the nut on top.
